Fuzzy Filter

The Schreiber Fuzzy Filter® is an innovative and cost effective compressible media filter for water and wastewater treatment systems. The Fuzzy Filter® system is compact, modular, and easily adaptable for numerous applications. The square configuration Fuzzy Filter®, operating in an upflow design, achieves an exceptionally high rate of solids removal through the use of synthetic fiber spheres. The low density and high porosity of the media results in more solids captured per volume of media. Because the filter media is compressible, the total porosity of the filter bed can be altered to suit influent characteristics by mechanically compressing the media.

Clean Squeeze

The Schreiber Clean Squeeze® washer / compactor washes out organics and dewaters screenings. Screenings enter the top of the unit and are agitated by a rotating shaftless screw under a spray of washwater. As the screw agitates in forward and reverse motion, organic substances are loosened from the screenings and drain back to the process stream. The washed screenings are transferred over a barrier at one end of the wash trough into a compactor section below. The screenings are subsequently dewatered by the action of a compactor screw and conical discharge. The pressed screenings are then conveyed through a larger diameter discharge pipe.

Frontloader Bar Screen

The Schreiber Frontloader Bar Screen performs a complete job by first removing screenings from the sewage and then placing the screenings into a dumpster or other container for disposal. The rake engages the bars of the screen from the back side at the bottom of the channel. The motion of the rake serves to keep screenings from being squeezed through the rake and the bars, thereby minimizing the potential for jamming of the rake. Automatic operation of the unit is controlled by a PLC in conjunction with a float switch. Additionally, the entire Frontloader mechanism is located above water level for ease of service.

Clarifier

Versatile and sturdily constructed, Schreiber Peripheral Drive Clarifiers are designed for varied applications such as stormwater, primary, and secondary clarification. The peripheral drive system utilizes leverage rather than center drive torque to rotate the scraper and skimming assembly, resulting in a simplified mechanical system. All the equipment necessary for the continuous removal of floatables and settled solids is suspended from either a rotating bridge or, for smaller units, a lightweight rotating beam arm. The rotating skimming equipment removes floatables regardless of wind direction, and the helical scrapers used on Schreiber Peripheral Drive Clarifiers transport settled solids to the center of the basin in a single revolution! Additional accessories such as effluent weirs, baffle plates, and return sludge pumps ensure compatibility in all applications. The Schreiber design allows for the hoisting of all such equipment above the water level for inspection or maintenance without having to dewater the basin.

Pump Systems

Schreiber manufactures three types of screw pumps - the variable angle tube mounted screw pump, the stationary angle tube pump, and the conventional open flight screw pump. With over 300 Schreiber Screw Pumps in use across the United States, and over 500 installations worldwide, all three pump types have demonstrated outstanding serviceability for over twenty years.
